Girls Basketball:
Holy Angels 40, Pascack Valley 34 (OT)
Beating a team like Holy Angels once in a season is a statement in itself.
Beating a team like that for the second time in a week is nearly impossible.
Although Pascack Valley had a chance to do it, they fell short and were defeated by Holy Angels 40-34 in overtime.
Pascack Valley seemed to be in control in the first half, taking a 21-15 lead into the intermission. The third quarter is where Holy Angels made a run. They outscored Valley 15-3 in the third to take a 6 point lead into the fourth.
At this point in the game, the Indians could have folded. Instead, they fought back and tied the game at 34 as the game would head into overtime.
Unfortunately, Pascack Valley's offensive was inept in the extra period as they were unable to score a single point. Holy Angels would win the game 40-34.
After facing a team like Holy Angels, Pascack Valley should be ready for any challenges down the road.
