Baseball:
St. Joes 2, Pascack Valley 1
With St. Joes coming into Monday afternoon with an
undefeated record, no one expected Pascack Valley to give them a game. After a
dominating performance by Senior Rob Kaminsky only a couple of days before,
many believed the Green Knights would roll the Indians on their way to the top
seed in the Bergen County Tournament.
Pascack Valley, who has lost several close games throughout
the season, kept it close once again. Sophomore Matt Ogus pitched 7 innings of
2 run ball against a dangerous St. Joes lineup.
The downfall came on the offensive end. The Indians could
only muster up one run.
Either way, a performance like this against the best team in
North Jersey should not go unnoticed. Watch out for the Indians as the state
tournament comes around.
