Baseball:
Old Tappan 2, Pascack Valley 1
Despite a solid all-around performance, Pascack Valley fell
short against Old Tappan on Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomore Matt Ogus went 5 innings for the Indians and
allowed only two runs. Senior Kyle McDonald pitched a scoreless 6th
inning while still recovering from an arm injury.
The problem today was the Indian offense. They left runners
on base and did not receive timely hits that could have put them ahead.
Mike “Waffles” Sowinski had the lone RBI for Pascack Valley.
Record: 6-10

Old Tappan 5, Pascack Valley 2

Valley simply fell short.
A two run home by Old Tappan star Mary Wiley in the 6th
inning broke a 1-1 tie and was all the Golden Knights needed.
After adding two more runs in the top of the 7th,
Pascack Valley faced a 5-1 deficit going into the bottom half of the inning.
