Softball:

Old Tappan 5, Pascack Valley 2

With a chance to claim a share of the league title, Pascack Valley simply fell short.

A two run home by Old Tappan star Mary Wiley in the 6th inning broke a 1-1 tie and was all the Golden Knights needed.

After adding two more runs in the top of the 7th, Pascack Valley faced a 5-1 deficit going into the bottom half of the inning.

After scoring one run and having the tying run at the plate, the Indian’s luck fell short.
