Daily Recap: Thursday, December 13th

With most of winter sports playing their season openers tomorrow, Swimming was the only sport on display on Thursday Night. Let's see how the Girls and Boys did at their meet.

Boys Swimming:.

After dropping their first two meets of the season, Boys Swimming was able to pick up a big win against River Dell.

Hopefully they will use this win as momentum for future meets.

Record: 1-2

Next Meet: Saturday, December 15th at 1 PM against Teaneck (Bergen Community College)

Girls Swimming:

A couple days before the first swim meet of the season, I received a text from Senior Swimmer Jenn Iannello. She told me that this team has a lot of depth and a strong season is in store.

Through the first three meets of the season, her statement has held true.

Girls Swimming improved to 3-0 on the season by defeating River Dell 89.5 - 80.5.

Although early in the season, this was a season defining win for the Indians. For the past couple of years, Pascack Valley and River Dell have been co-division champs. This was the first test for a talented Valley squad and they passed with flying colors.

The meet stayed close throughout. In the end, it all came down to the 100 meter breaststroke and the 400 meter freestyle relay.

Pascack Valley was able to win these crucial races to take the meet. With the win, the Indians showed that they are going to be extremely tough to beat this season.

Record: 3-0

Next Meet: Saturday, December 15th at 1 PM against Teaneck (Bergen Community College)
