Daily Recap: Monday, September 10th

Monday welcomed the opener for girls soccer, girls tennis, and Pascack Valley Regional Gymnastics. Volleyball also played their second game of the year and continued to roll. Here is how each team made out.

Girls Soccer

Pascack Valley 7, Teaneck 0

The number 7 team in the county cruised in their season opener after their previous game was cancelled due to rain. The Indians scored early and often, setting the tone to what turned out to be a dominating performances.

Six Indians accounted for the 7 goals. Michelle Orden had 2, Katie Roberts had 1, Sammy Rush had 1, Katie Gallagher had 1, Amelia Della Pesca had 1, and Lydia Christiano had one.

The defense was also solid in the win, allowing almost zero shots on goal and turning in a shutout to open the season.

If this game is any indication for the future, PVGS will have a very successful season.

Record: 1-0

Next Game: Wednesday, September 12th at 7 PM against Tenafly (Home)
