Daily Recap: Monday, April 8th

Baseball:

Old Tappan 5, Pascack Valley 2

Old Tappan scored 3 runs in the first inning against Junior Ryan MacNaughton and never looked back.

Although Pascack Valley had their chances, they could not string enough runs together to win the game.

The one bright spot came in the 4^th inning when Senior Mike Sowinski doubled to score 4.

However, after that hit, Pascack Valley was shut out for the rest of the game.

Record: 2-3

Softball:

Pascack Valley 9, Old Tappan 8

Pascack Valley was able to pull the huge upset over previously undefeated Old Tappan on Monday afternoon.

The game was tied early when Pascack Valley broke it up to take a 9-3 lead.

Through the last two innings, Old Tappan did their best to make a comeback but fell short.

This is a huge win for the Valley program and their fourth straight win.

It is time this team deserves for recognition.

Pascack Valley 8, River Dell 7

After being down early, Pascack Valley fought their way bad for a well-earned victory.

This win should give them much momentum going forward.
