Softball:
Pascack Valley 8, Holy Angels 4
The offense was alive once again after scoring only one run
in the opener.
This time, the victim was Holy Angels, who hell 8-4 at the
hands of the Indians.
PV came out swinging right out of the gate by scoring two
runs in the top of the first. This sent a message to Holy Angels that Pascack
Valley was there for a game. Holy Angels calmly responded with a couple of runs
of their own in the bottom half, tying the game at two.
During the next couple of innings, defense and pitching
stole the show. It wasn’t until the fifth inning when Pascack Valley finally
broke through. Alex Pleasic hit an three run inside the park home run to break
the game open. Olivia Beattie hit home two more and gave the Indians a
demanding lead.
Holy Angels scored a couple runs late, but were in no shape
to make a comeback.
